On September 4, 2025, Spika Design & Manufacturing proudly brought together more than 70 employees for its annual Day of Service, dedicating a full day to strengthening the Lewistown community. Teams partnered with 15 local nonprofit organizations, lending hands-on support for labor-intensive projects that required more resources than most nonprofits typically have access to.
“Our community sustains us, and we’re proud to give back in ways that help it thrive,” said Katie Spika, CEO of Spika Design & Manufacturing. “The Day of Service is one of our favorite traditions—an opportunity for our team members to roll up their sleeves and support the organizations that are making a difference in Central Montana.”

Spika also used its technical expertise to design and manufacture different items for local nonprofits.
Lewistown Soccer Club: Provide an affordable soccer experience to the youth of Central Montana. Ask: Build the entrance sign for the new Lewistown Soccer Park.
Central Montana Memorial Gardens (Cemetery): Ask: Design and fabricate a headstone transport cart.
Fergus Tennis Parents: The parents of tennis players (current and past) are working to beautify and update the playing courts for Lewistown students and anyone in the community that loves to play Tennis. Ask: Design and construct tennis court marking signs and score keepers at the courts.
Lewistown Trap & Skeet Club: Operated in association with the National Skeet Shooting Association (NSSA) and Amateur Trap Shooting Association, the Lewistown Trap & Skeet Club is a 501(c)3 and has been serving Central Montana since 1955. Members strive to improve their shotgun shooting skills, foster friendships, encourage and educate youth about gun safety and the joy of hunting upland and migratory birds. Ask: Door to cover window for Skeet Club.
Friends of the Library: FOL is a nonprofit to assist the Lewistown Public Library. Ask: Installation of a new metal bike rack at main entrance to Lewistown Public Library on 7th Avenue South. The old one, which was there for many years, was a casualty of the snow plowing efforts after the huge Jan. 2025 snow storm. The rack needed to fit in that space so that it does not interfere with sidewalk activity, esp. for disabled people in wheelchairs or using walkers.
Thank you, Team Spika for helping us find joy through selfless community service! Thank you, Central Montana, and particularly Lewistown, for this opportunity to serve.
